As a reader with a penchant for mystery novels, I approached "Locked Room Murder" by Nancy McGovern with high hopes, only to find myself sorely disappointed by its lackluster execution and predictable plot.
From the outset, the premise of a murder committed in a locked room seemed promising, but any sense of intrigue quickly evaporated as the story unfolded.
Furthermore, the mix of genres caused issues with the book. Character development can suffer when a book lacks a clear genre focus. Consider whether the characters feel underdeveloped or inconsistently portrayed due to the narrative's genre ambiguity.
